The Kwalata Science Unlimited EXPO is a successful science and educational EXPO annually presented in August during national science week. This EXPO is aimed at the educational enhancement of grade 6/7/8/9 learners from rural and township schools from Hammanskraal. The Expo comprises a scheduled program of curriculum-aligned science, maths and technology shows and exhibitions. It opens a window on the fascinating applications of the sciences so that learners and educators grasp the relevance of science- and technology-related skills and careers that influence our everyday lives. Dinokeng Game Reserve’s Conservation, Tourism and awareness of Climate change will also be highlighted.

opening up long term opportunities for learners from rural areas and townships. 300 Grade 10&11 students from the Hammanskraal rural and township schools will be attending Accounting and Educational EXPO. Students will be exposed to career choices in accounting, mathematics,educational theatre, illustrated talks and interactive exhibitions will be delivered by the experts on the day.

It is supported by many non-governmental organisations, businesses, government entities, and represents the primary United Nations outreach day supporting the environment - Kwalata annually celebrates this day, inviting surrounding communities, living in the Limpopo River Basin, to come and experience the Dinokeng Game Reserve conservation initiatives. Hammanskraal communities living in the Limpopo Basis will be impacted by climate changes and risks if action is not taken. Dinokeng Game Reserve’s biodiversity conservation successes, rhino and cheetah conservation projects, are a highlight.
Wendy says everyone who works in the sport in South Africa is a volunteer.“For us, the rewards are beyond financial. Seeing the passion and dedication of the skaters is hugely fulfilling. These kids have nothing. Many of them live with their grannies while their parents are away earning a living. Skating is their everything. It teaches them discipline and keeps them active. Ultimately it’s a winning situation for everyone.”

On 18 July, make a difference and celebrate President Nelson Mandela's birthday with Kwalata Community Development Initiative at two Old age homes and Day care Centre’s. 18 July has been declared Nelson Mandela International Day. On this day everyone has the opportunity to contribute 67 minutes of time to help those in need.
